Join us on Friday, October 8th for the Legion Oktoberfest Dinner. Terry and crew will be in the kitchen cooking up German Pork Schnitzel served with a Mushroom Gravy, Homemade Mashed Potatoes, Creamed Spinach, Simmer Sauerkraut and dessert for only $9.00.

Dance the Night Away is back by popular demand! Everyone had a great time last month and begged us to host another one. So be sure to join us this time if you missed last month's.

Dance the night away will be on Saturday, October 9th at 8 pm to 11 pm in the Liberty Hall. DJ Matt Altman will be here playing all of your favorite dancing songs.So mark your calendars and grab those dancing shoes! This is a night you do not want to miss!
Friday, October 8th
Join us this Friday for Branden Parrish. This is a new artist for us here at Post and we hear he is fabulous so be sure to come on up and check him out. 
Friday, October 8th
KJ Bristol will be here this Friday starting at 7 pm in the Liberty Hall. So come on out for karaoke you will be  you did! 
Saturday, October 9th
This week we have the Rite on Que BBQ food truck here serving up a fabulous dinner on Saturday night. So come on up hungry! 
Queen of Diamonds this Saturday! 
No winner last week so the pot still builds! Last week we the pot was just  a few hungred dollars short of $40,000. So we will for sure break into the $40,000 this week. So be sure to be here for your chance to win. 

Please note that the only day you can get tickets is Saturdays from 6 pm to 645 pm. 

As the pot grows this may change. We will keep you updated. 
Queen Raffle Rules
You can watch us draw the winning ticket for the Queens raffle live on Facebook by going to our "Post 129 Members" page. You need to be a member of the Facebook group to watch the video so be sure to request your membership this week if you haven't already done so. Link to group is below.

There have been some rumors going around the Post and some of them are true. Some of them are not. What is true is that we will be getting point of sale system within the next few months.

What is not true is that there are plans to increase prices. There are also no plans, at this point, to start taking credit cards. 

So for the most part from your point as members nothing will really change much. It's just going to be a different machine that your drinks are rang up on. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask me. 
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Claire Sheehan. The family invites you to join them at the service and the celebration of life to commemorate her life. 

Mass will be held on October 7th at 8 am at the Resurrection Church on University Blvd in Arlington

Celebration of Life will be held on October 17th at noon in the Liberty Hall here at Post 129. 

Publix will be catering the event so no covered dishes are requested. 
In keeping with tradition we will be hosting our Halloween party on on Friday October 29th. The A1A Jax Band will be here in the Freedom Hall to keep you entertained and of course we will have karaoke in the Liberty Hall. 

There will be a costume contest but it will done slightly differently this year. The judges will be looking at costumes in secret this year throughout the night and placing there votes. Once I tally the votes we will announce the winners at 8 pm. So be sure to be here at Post 129 between 7 pm and 745 pm to enter the contest.
Sunday, October 10th 
Millie is in the kitchen this Sunday serving up an Egg Benedict special plus our full regular menu. 
Monday Nights in the Liberty Hall

Paint night was a ton of fun last night. Be sure to join us next week. Join us on Monday evenings in the Liberty Hall starting on October 4th  for our new exciting weekly Paint night. This is beginner painting instruction for everyone. The cost is only $10 a person (to cover supplies). This is going to be a great time. Come on out and give it a try I bet you will be happy you did! 
We are excited to announce that we now have Tap TV. What is Tap TV? This is it is super fun interactive trivia game that will run through the TV's here at the Post.

Just download a free app to your phone and play against other members, other posts and other venues across the country. 

We will be running in house tournaments and the company runs two week long tournaments. We really think that you all are going to love this so be on the look out for it.
Football season is here! Remember we are your front row ticket to every game! With the NFL ticket and Fifteen Large Flat Screen TV's you will never miss a play by your favorite team!

Both the Liberty & Freedom Hall will be open on Sundays for football as well as the kitchen which will be serving up a delicious menu that is available below.  So plan on making Post 129 you football headquarters.
Open Mic this Wednesday, and every Wednesday night, in the Liberty hall and we couldn't be more excited! Be sure to come on up to the Liberty hall on Wednesday night and check out these fabulous musicians.

Do you know that we have Texas Hold'em every Thursday at 7 pm in the Freedom Hall? It's a ton of fun so be sure to come on up and give it a try!

We are getting some fabulous trucks lined up for us on Saturday evenings. If the food trucks on Saturdays is something you enjoy be sure to come on out to show your support.

October Raffle
The ALR will be raffling off $300 worth of lottery tickets this month. Tickets cost $1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets. See any ALR member this month for tickets. Winner will be drawn on October 31st. Do not need to be present to win. 
Early bird renewal ends November 11th for the Auxiliary. Please submit your dues of $30 and Katie Workman will process your membership. As of October 1st dues will increase to $35.If Katie is not here to take your dues there are envelopes in the hallway across from the ladies room. Please enclose your dues with your membership number, name, address, and phone number. You can drop your envelope in the AUX box located in the hallway leading to the Auxiliary Meeting room. Your new card will be left behind the bar within a few days.

Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf.  It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme.  We now have over 40 players signed up to play on Saturday Mornings. We would love to have you join us.
