Panthers Bring Home Battle of the Hill Trophy

Last week EDS football defeated St. Mary's to win the Battle of the Hill trophy for the second year in a row. The win put our football team into the #1 seed position in the AAMSL championship for the first time in league history and they are also undefeated for the first time in school history!

We hope you can join us to cheer on the Panthers at the AAMSL Championship Game at Augusta Christian on Thursday, October 21st at 6:00 P.M. For the full AAMSL Championship schedule, please click here.

Faces of Carpool

In this special section of Panther Post, we will be highlighting the amazing faculty and staff that you see each morning and afternoon in carline, but may not know exactly what their role is at EDS. If you do know them, this is also a great way to learn something new! This week's “Face of Carpool” is The Reverend Sonia Sullivan Clifton, our Chaplain and Chair of Religious Life, and teacher of fourth, fifth, and eighth grade religion classes. Read More

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

One of our favorite fall events is almost here! Gather your brilliant ideas, pumpkin, and craft supplies because we want to see your pumpkin creation here at EDS! The pumpkin decorating contest will take place the week of October 25th. Drop off your decorated, uncut pumpkin that week on the benches in front of the school. A winner will be chosen Friday, October 29th. We can't wait to see them!

Curriculum Snapshots

We are proud to share Curriculum Snapshots for each student’s grade level and academic discipline. This week we will be highlighting our Eighth Grade Curriculum Snapshot.

The snapshots for each academic discipline will help to show you the arc of knowledge and continuity of the curriculum from grade to grade across the course of a student’s career at EDS. To view all of the curriculum snapshots for each grade level and subject area, click here.

You read it right, free money! Just a few easy steps can provide generously for EDS without you doing anything beyond what you might do a normal day.

Publix Partners for the EDS Association

Publix has a tremendous school partners program that the EDS Association has benefited from greatly over the years.  To date, the EDS Association has received over $55,000 from the program.  It’s simple - if you already have a Publix account, add Episcopal Day School Association - Augusta Georgia, as your school partner of choice.  Each time that you check out, enter the phone number you have linked to your account into the key pad. That’s all there is to it.  The Association will receive a check quarterly.

Amazon Smile for the Foundation for EDS

The Foundation for EDS is the school’s foundation for the development of the Flowing Wells Campus. Are you an Amazon shopper?  If so, you can make all of the same purchases through the Amazon smile program and a percentage of your purchase charges will be redirected back to the Foundation for EDS.  This program works seamlessly if you’re a Prime member too, so there’s no reason not to. Please, mark the Episcopal Day School Foundation of Augusta as your charitable organization of choice and be sure to make you purchases through smile.amazon.com.
