As we enter this season of harvest, we write to update you on the progress of the Food Resource Navigator project.
We are pleased to share this report by ChiByDesign, completed in August, that summarizes what we've learned over the past year.
Last month, we gathered for the first time with a group of ~20 community stewards who have stepped forward to prototype, test, and build tools and spaces for collaboration. It was a meeting filled with energy, ideas, and the beginnings of deep dialogue to support shared progress.
With this group, we are designing this project to address food inequities by working alongside Black, Brown, and Indigenous growers, food producers, advocates, and organizers.
Below we share visualizations that depict some of the project's work to date. These include our high level goals, our shared principles and visions, our network map, and our approach.
As the work of the stewards and the support team shifts into a higher gear during the time of harvest, we look forward to sharing the first iteration of a project website later this fall.
