October 1  Greenwood Community Garden Construction Day. 7714 Prospect. 9am-4pm. Click flyer below to sign up to help.

October 2   6th Council District Council Clean Up 8am-Noon. South Broadland Presbyterian Church. 7850 Holmes. Open to all KCMO residents. 8am-noon. Bulky Items/Trash, Leaves/Brush, Tires & Document Shredding. For more information contact Robert Wood at (816) 513-8442

October 2 Clean Up of Future Marlborough Community Land Trust Affordable Home. 8336 Wayne. 8am-11am.

October 9  Arleta Park Clean Up 10am-Noon. Meet at the large shelter. Gloves, grabbers & trash bags provided. Organized by the Walnut Grove Neighborhood Association. For more information text (816) 774-1770.

October 9  Marlborough Youth Art Festival Mosaics Pop Up 10am-Noon.  Mosaic Artist Laura Rendlen will lead the session. Laura created the artwork on the entrance sign to and the limestone pillars along Paseo in Marlborough Village. Ages K-12. 8026 Paseo (The Borough). Masks required/provided. Coffee & Refreshments. Free.

October 17   2pm-5pm. Church of the Resurrection (COR) Mobile Food Pantry Stop in Marlborough Union Hall Parking Lot, 7820 Prospect.  Watch the Coalition's Facebook page for an announcement of a location for a second monthly stop the first Thursday of the month, 9am-Noon, starting in November. It is expected to be in the western half of Marlborough.

October 23   5th Council District Council Clean Up 8am-Noon. 84th & Paseo* and 80th & Chestnut.  Bulky Items/Trash, Leaves/Brush, Tires. *Glass and electronics only at 84th & Paseo. October 14  Public Health & Safety Task Force Meeting (via Zoom) 6:30pm-8pm. Email president@wearemarlborough.org to receive the meeting notice and to learn more about the task force.

Email concerns or information about specific neighborhood incidents and concerns, or a KCPD interaction. The Coalition’s Public Safety Task Force will anonymously report information to Metro Patrol as appropriate and/or determine if some type of other city or neighborhood action or referral can resolve an issue .... speeding, racing/donuts, dangerous road conditions, squatters, crime, gunshots, nuisance properties, nuisance parties, etc. Provide as much detail as possible and if you want to be contacted back or remain anonymous.
