City Ballot Measures, Be Ballot Ready

This November, be ballot ready by thoroughly understanding the issues to make informed decisions. Voters will be asked to consider several ballot measures, that would impact our city’s water-making decisions as well as considering a renewal of the Keep Greeley Moving infrastructure tax.

Water Ballot Measures
Voters will be asked to consider two changes to the city’s Home Rule Charter, which has successfully guided how the city has managed the community’s water resources since 1958. If passed, Greeley would be the only community in Colorado to require a special election to approve water management decisions the city considers routine. Learn more about the proposed city charter amendments.

Keep Greeley Moving, an Infrastructure Tax
Voters will be asked to renew the Keep Greeley Moving infrastructure tax, which provides funding for transportation-related repairs, improvements, and construction. Learn more about the Keep Greeley Moving renewal.

Greeley’s Water Portfolio is Stable
While Colorado and the West have regularly faced compromised water from shrinking rivers and forest fire damage, Greeley has weathered the storm a bit better than most. The City has been able to tap into its many water sources to fill the gaps left by fires and drought plaguing the Rocky Mountain West – a vital part of its water planning that stems back at least 100 years. But now is no time to rest.
