2021 Delayed & Cancelled Art Prizes

Whenever any art prize updates it’s information on. the ArtPrizes website an alert is sent to users of the updated app. It looks like this:

• The Lorne Sculpture Biennale has been postponed until 2022

• The John Copes Watercolour Prize call has been extended until November 2021

• The 2021 Mosman Art Prize has been cancelled

• The 2021 Hawkesbury Art Prize exhibition has been rescheduled to run from the 27 November to the 12 December 2021

Updates are available as they are announced on our artPrizes phone app.

2021 Multiple Australian Art Prize Finalists

We have created a table of the 69 multi-finalists in Australian art prizes, so far, for 2021. Click here to check it out. It’s interesting to see it collated like this. Below is an alternative view using nodes which is out of control and why I decided to put it into a table.

I can see a loose pattern where a finalist in one prize is also likely to be a finalist in another. Sometimes that’s due to region - for example Queensland based prizes other times it is the Archibald/Sulman/Wynne thing where a finalist in one is also a finalist in another. These are just casual observations and you can make up your own mind.
