"Sai Chaya", Hostel for Boys at Sri Sathya Sai Sharadaniketanam, Maradevanahalli in Mandya District was inaugurated by Sri Sri Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamij of Sri Adichunchanagiri Math on September 6, 2021 in the divine presence of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai.

Many dignitaries were present for the occasion, including Dr C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Minister for Higher Education, ITBT, Science and Technology; Sri Narayana Gowda, Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports, Planning, Program Monitoring and Statistics; Sri C S Puttaraju, former Minister and current MLA of Melukote; Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Chancellor, Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence. They were joined by Devotees from UK; Special invitees; Staff and Students.

The Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, a health care initiative by Prashanthi Balamandira Trust, is a multi-disciplinary hospital established at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli in the district of Chikkaballapur, Karnataka in South India.
The OPD (Out Patient Department) services in the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital have begun in full swing. The next phases of this rapidly evolving project are the following:
1. Commencement of construction of the Sri Sathya Sai Rajeswari Memorial Block in October which will serve as a free medical college.
2. Commencement of pediatric cardiac surgeries in association with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals in November.

When the entire hospital was conceptualised by Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai for helping out the most needy section of the society, it looked like a dream far from human reach. But with passing time and collective efforts of several selfless souls, the hospital today, stands tall as a testimony to the power of Love and Selflessness!

Across Chikkaballapur District, for the months of July and August 2021, undernourished children between 2 to 6 years of age have been receiving SaiSure Multi-Nutrient Supplement to boost nutrition and immunity against potential onset of COVID-19 infections. Parents and Anganwadi (rural childcare center) staff have reported positive impact SaiSure has had on children's growth.

Distribution of SaiSure to 4,000 MAM (Moderate Acute Malnourishment) children was initiated from June 2021 onwards at various Taluks of Chikkaballapur District. Regions covered in Chintamani Taluk: Theenakallu, Mallikarjunapura, Amataganahalli, Binganahalli, Rayapalli, Upparapette, Konapalli and Thimmasandra. With the support from Woman and Child Department, every child was given SaiSure health mix. All six taluks of Chikkaballapur, Gudibande, Gowribidanur, Bagepally, Chintamani and Sidhlaghatta were covered.

Memorandum of Agreement

Sai Prema Foundation Fiji has formalized and signed a collaborative partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Fiji Police Force, the National Fire Authority (NFA) and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) to facilitate the good health and well-being of the personnel and their families.
Sai Prema Foundation, through its Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre will offer free general medical consultations and medications for all personnel of the Fiji Police Force, the NFA, the RFMF and their spouses and children. The Foundation will also be offering the children of the personnel free heart screenings at the Sai Sanjeevani Heart Screening Centre as well as free dental treatment at the soon-to-be-opened Children’s Dental Centre.
The signing of these MOAs is a very simple of act of expressing gratitude to the Fiji Police Force, the NFA and the RFMF who sacrifice themselves to serve and protect the citizens of the nation.

The Fiji Police Force, the NFA and the RFMF together with the Sai Prema Foundation will aim to create greater awareness of the prevalence and symptoms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) among all the children of the personnel through an electronic and non-electronic medium.
This will help boost Government’s initiative and advocacy for Fijian health and wellness within the NFA and will go a long way in ensuring that the effects of exposure to smoke and hazardous materials are discovered and treated at an early stage.
The Army and the Navy are ready to assist the Foundation in every way possible so that more lives can be saved today and in the coming years.

These partnerships are a win-win for all concerned. Sai Prema Foundation will offer free medical consultations to the personnel and their families and they also aim to advocate a healthy lifestyle through various

|
|
efforts and initiatives and ensure that the necessary information about prevalence and symptoms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is disseminated through the Fiji Police Force, the NFA and the RFMF. A free treatment pathway will be offered to those children born with CHD through the soon-to-be-opened Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Suva.

On September 14, 2021, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai visited Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Sevagram, Wardha in Maharashtra State.
Sadguru Sri Madhusudhan Sai called this occasion a ‘Sangam’ (confluence) of MGIMS and Sathya Sai Baba Trust where the two entities have a similar dream of rendering service to mankind. “We have come here to learn from you, take your advice and emulate your community centric teaching. It is a lifetime opportunity to learn from a hallowed institution like MGIMS”, he expressed. He also emphasized the need for rural India education and recalled Mahatma Gandhi in Sathya Sai Baba’s words ‘Gram Seva is Ram Seva’. Swamiji also said that his organization shall continue to fund scholarships for needy MGIMS students to pursue their medical education. “You are training and teaching inspired young minds to serve on the ideals taught by Mahatma Gandhiji, which is the greatest service being rendered by your team”, he added.

The occasion was marked by offering prayer and seeking the gracious blessings from Sri Satya Sai Baba at the institute’s Emergency Medicine Centre. 20 years ago, this center had received funding from the Satya Sai Baba Trust. Shri Dhirubhai welcomed the guests with traditional soot-gundi (khadi garland) and fondly reminisced one of his interactions with Satya Sai Baba some three decades ago. “We are extremely happy that the trust chose MGIMS as a model for inspiring medical education”, he added. “You are walking in the footsteps of Baba and we are fortunate to have your blessings today”, expressed Dr. (Mrs) P. Narang.

The Non-Stop Journey of Love on Wheels

During the first half of September, the Mobile Health Team offered free health services to over 1,330 patients in the States of West Bengal & Jharkhand. The team is looking forward to reaching over 2,500 patients by the end of the month!
The non-stop journey of Love on Wheels reached out to 12 remote destinations of West Bengal traversing over 1,400 km offering over 1,200 consultations in the districts of North & South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia and Kolkata.
Health on Wheels reached out to remote locations of Jharkhand offering free health services at Kharwini and Potla. With the fabricated Mobile Medical Units supported by Tata Bluescope Steel, team Aarogya Vahini was able to offer over 130 consultations along with medicines in remote locations of Jharkhand.

The core scope of the Aarogya Vahini team has been in Screening, Detecting & Supporting rural chronic patients. The team has started screening patients around the Nodal Points now, so that detected chronic patients may avail health services from the Base Nodal Points, scheduled with fixed frequencies. It is noteworthy that several patients from different islands of Sunderbans are now receiving benefits from the Chunakhali Base Nodal Point. This new initiative and strategy of the team is making quality, free-of-cost Health Care more approachable and accessible for all!
In managing referrals for needed procedures, the team was able to facilitate an Angiography for a rural patient who was detected from a screening camp at a leading private institute in Kolkata. The beneficiary will receive CABG (coronary artery bypass grafting).
