Las Vegas Trip Report  🎲🎲  September 2021

Day 1
Hi Everyone,

On September 17 I flew into Las Vegas… my second home 🙂 My local friend Dennis treated me to breakfast at Ellis Island.. They have a great steak and egg special.

After breakfast, we played a session. I was interested in seeing how one of my Specialty Tosses would work in a casino. I know it works well in my craps pit at home, but the real test is trying it out in a casino. It worked like a charm!! I tossed a roll In the mid-20s, making 4 points…The name of the toss is Magic Ice.

Now it’s time to drive downtown to pick up my first student of the trip for a 4 hr dice class…
It’s only my first day and I’m having a ball already… I might have to extend my trip…

Day 2

I’m very excited and appreciative of the amount of students scheduling classes with me. I love teaching, and sharing my knowledge and skill of the last 20 years as a craps controlled shooter. What’s so wonderful, is that my students and I often become friends.

Because of the high demand for classes with me, I’ve decided to extend my Las Vegas Trip! I’m now going to be in Vegas until October 25. I really appreciate everyone’s support and look forward to our classes and time together. It’s very special to me to help you improve your toss and game, and give you a better chance of winning in the casinos.

Yesterday afternoon, after class, I played a session at the Gold Coast Casino. When I got to the table a shooter standing in the Straight Out position was tossing a perfect "Yuri Toss". He was using the crossed 6s set, tossing them on axis and low into the opposite wall. He had a nice hand of 24 rolls. It was just good timing to get on the table with another good shooter.

The dice eventually came to me at Stick Right. I tried out my "Super Toss". It’s an off axis toss that really works great, from most positions.. I tossed a 26 roll hand, and hit about 6 hard way numbers. With this toss, if the dice land flat, they tend to hit hard ways.

I colored up right after my roll, went to Walmart to stock up on water, soda and snacks, and then relaxed the rest of the day.

Yesterday morning, I picked up my Student from Southern California, and staying at the Palazzo Hotel. We drove over to my Craps pit, just 3 miles from the Strip, for a class.

He was already an experienced shooter, having taken classes previously from another school.
I watched his toss, made a few tweaks and suggestions and tried different dice sets, and pretty soon his toss was looking great!

Next we worked on tossing from a second position, using the on-axis toss. He picked it up pretty quickly, and with instruction on where to land the dice, and changing his standing and body mechanics, his toss looked really good.

Next we went over the Yuri Toss. He was a natural at it, because he already practiced it at home, with out knowing the name of the toss… I suggested he use the Yuri Toss on bouncy tables (it works great on both bouncy and hard tables.) After class, he told me that he used it on a bouncy table, and had a great roll!
Next, We went over some of my Specialty Tosses: The Helicopter Toss, Magic Ice and The rock n roller Super Toss.

We had a great class together and I’m looking forward to the next time we get together .

Day 3

I love visiting Las Vegas, it is so much fun!

Yesterday, a student from San Francisco came over for a class. He had previously called me about a week ago asking me for a class. He said: "Can you please help me with my toss? I’m tired of losing... my toss needs help."

A couple of days ago, we arranged a class at my Vegas craps pit. In the morning I picked him up at The MGM Grand for his class. What’s really amazing to me, is that he drove all the way from San Francisco to Las Vegas the night before, for the sole purpose of taking my class…Then, the next day, he planned on driving back home. I’m really humbled and also thankful by his effort to come and visit me to help him.

When I observed his toss I noticed why he wasn’t winning. His toss was way too hard, careening off the back wall. The other problem was, his dice were on an angle, and not square to the back wall. The third problem was he was rushing his toss, not looking at a specific target to hit.

Once we got those problems squared away, I noticed one more issue… He was turning his wrist as he released the dice. I filmed him on my I phone in slow motion, so he could see his twisting wrist issue.

We then made corrections and his toss was looking much better.

I realized the way he was tossing the dice, he would be a natural to teach him the low "Yuri Toss" from stick right. I changed his set to a 3V set, and after awhile his toss was looking very good…
We played a mock game with chips as I was teaching him about betting.. He especially liked Regression Betting, where you start higher for 2 hits and regress down to table minimum. Then, you press from there as you hit box numbers. With the Yuri Toss and the 3V set (6-2) all you need to bet are 6 and 8s... plus if you’d like a 4 and 10... which often hit Hard way as well.
He was really happy with the techniques I taught him and can’t wait to use the Yuri Toss at the craps table in the casino.

Afterwards. I put FedEx in my GPS, because I wanted to make copies of pamphlets describing toss techniques for students taking four-, six-, and eight-hour classes. The GPS took me to Rainbow Blvd., where I noticed a pizza place… time for lunch 🙂

It was really frustrating finding the FedEx store.. the GPS told me that I had arrived on the shopping center. I looked around at about 50 stores… no FedEx store. About a half hour later I walked into Walmart, and as Gomer Pyle would say “Surprise, Surprise”… there was FedEx in the hidden corner inside the Walmart store. I wish the GPS would have just told me that it was inside Walmart in the first place and save me a lot of time looking for it around the shipping center. 🙂

Last night I had dinner with Tony, Dennis and John at Ellis Islands Bar b Q… it was great spending time with my local friends, John flew in from NJ. They have great Bar b Q ribs and Chicken dinners there.

Today is a busy day.. I'm picking a student up at the Cromwell for a full day 8-hr class... Then, after a dinner break, I have another student coming over for an evening class… It’s a double header! But you know what, I love to teach and am looking forward today’s classes. I just have to pace myself. In my mind I think I'm young, but I have to realize I'm not 20 years old any more 🙂

I heard from my first student of the trip, he is from Hawaii, and he told me last night that he tossed a 28 roll downtown... That is such great news. I’m glad that I was able to help.

Yesterday, I received 4 calls inquiring about class availability… I am so happy that I extended my trip to Oct 25th!

Day 4

Yesterday, was a great day in Las Vegas! I taught a full day 8-hr class to a great guy from Michigan. Because of the extended time, I was able to cover a lot of material. My specialty is tossing… so this what we really focused on.

I tuned up his stick left, and stick right on-axis toss. Then, I taught him an excellent on-axis toss from Straight Out once he became accomplished with that toss…

At around 12:30 we took a lunch break, which was a good way to rest, talk craps, and get to know each other.

After lunch, I taught him one of my favorite "Specialty Tosses"... I developed it a few months ago and it works great from all positions… even from the hook.

I named it, “The Rock n Roller Super Toss”.
My student loved it!!! Through the afternoon, he became accomplished using this toss from stick R, Stick L and Straight Out. He texted me today that he’s winning all over town using it, and doesn’t want to go home today 🙂
I know the feeling, when you are on a hot streak, you want to stay and keep winning. Especially when you find a technique that’s working so well.

I took a nice Dinner break with my local friend Dennis, who is an old PARR guy and was one of my GTC students years ago. We enjoyed the delicious Asian cuisine at Ping Pang Pong, in the Gold Coast Casino.

At 7 pm I picked up my evening student at the Gold Coast Valet for a class till 10 pm. He is part of a big group of players called "The Craps Nation". They are craps enthusiasts from all over the Country, and are in town this week.

The class went very well. My student was self taught, so I spent the first part of the class correcting, and tweaking his On-Axis toss… Soon he was shooting very well. His dice were staying on axis and landing more softly.

Next I demonstrated a few of my Specialty Tosses, some on axis, some off axis. He especially liked my "Super Toss".

I taught him how to toss it from stick left, stick Right and Straight out… It takes a little while to learn the set, Unusual grip, and toss technique… but once he got good at it with lots of practice… He loved it!!! Now he is finally able to shoot from different positions… Previously, he would only shoot from stick left, and have to wait till that spot opened up, now he can shoot from anywhere on the table!

It’s time to pick up some of my friends from the Beautiful State of Hawaii. We are doing another full day class today… more fun today in Las Vegas!

I’m really glad that I extended my trip another month 'til Oct 25th…
It gives me time to relax once in a while, and also to accommodate and help more students with their toss.

I’m blessed to have made so many new friends this past week. Many of my new students and friends are from the beautiful Islands of Hawaii.

I want to thank my new friends, Kaleo, Alfred, and Robert for coming over for a class this past Wednesday… We had a great time together in class, and a wonderful lunch at an authentic Mexican Restaurant near my craps pit. We had a great class, and I got a kick out of him calling me "Uncle"

I’ve been hearing good things about some of their big rolls in the casinos afterwards... Kaleo texted me and told me he had a roll In the 30s using a toss that I taught him, shooting from straight out..Al and Rob are shooting well too. I’m proud of you Guys... Keep up the good work!

The following day, Bryan (Mr Money Shot), Cory and Marlene came over for a class. Bryan has a wonderful YouTube channel, called "Hawaii Craps Shooters". It is a great channel, full of fun and information, and even has live craps games filmed in Las Vegas casinos. When you watch them, you feel like you are there at the tables with the guys. Check them out on YouTube: Hawaii Craps Shooters, and also on their Facebook group, with the same name.

Like all my classes, I tailor it to the students needs and requests. I tune up their on-axis toss first and then afterwards we learn some of my Specialty Tosses that will enable you to shoot from different positions on the table, hitting lots of box numbers. Some of the favorites are: The rock n roller Super Toss, Magic Ice, the Yuri Toss, and the Ice Tong toss, helicopter, and of course Dice Magic… named because when using it, the 7s seem to disappear 🙂

Mr Money Shot (Bryan) Mar, and Cory are really nice people. They filmed my class and then afterwards, we did a one on one interview with me… I can’t wait to see it on their YouTube channel.
Mr Money Shot is very active on Facebook "Hawaii Craps Shooters", and has been writing lots of reports… I’m really happy that Bryan, Mar and Cory are shooting well. It was so great spending the day together, and I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.

On Friday, another gentleman from Hawaii came for a class. His name is Tyler.. We had a great full day class together. He was a very quick learner with the techniques I was teaching, after the on-axis tosses were perfected… We had a nice lunch together at Blueberry Hill, down the road..

I heard from Tyler today and he tossed a 30 number roll! Congratulations Tyler… Great shooting!

Today, Saturday, an old friend and student came over for a class. His name is Rich. We worked a bit on his on-axis toss, until it looked really good.. Then, he wanted to learn my “Super Toss”…. He always likes to see my latest creation to beat the casinos. Our class went very well.

He was staying and playing at the M hotel, and I just got a text from him as I’m writing this report…
Rich just had an hour long roll, and hit the All, Tall , and Small with $25 on Each one… He walked away with $4400 dollar profit!!
He was really happy he came over for a class this morning. I’m really happy too.. Seeing my students succeed really makes me feel good.

My friend Coaster flew into town today from Tampa.. We all went out for dinner .. Tony Dice guy, Dennis and and myself. Afterwards, we went to play a session at a locals casino.. Off the strip.
I Noticed the table was soft and a bit bouncy… I tried out my Super Toss from Stick Right.. and man it worked like a charm!! I tossed a 36 number roll, making lots of points …
it was a great way to end an exciting and fun evening with old friends.

Day 9

Yesterday was another great day in Las Vegas!

Early in the morning I drove Downtown to pick up my students at the Fremont HoteI. I decided to take the scenic route on Las Vegas Blvd, to avoid traffic on the I-15 highway. Boy, was that a big mistake! There is so much road construction on Las Vegas Blvd, it was crazy.

Once you get past the Wynn Casino, heading downtown, the construction really starts. Las Vegas Blvd. becomes a single lane road, each way. In the future, Las Vegas Blvd. is going to be beautiful as you head downtown. They are widening the road with more lanes, and getting rid of all the old broken down little motels, and old rundown houses, and improving the neighborhood.

I picked up my students from Hawaii.. Myron and Kim, part of the Hawaii Craps Shooters, who I had met at the Hawaii Craps Shooters Meet and Greet.

We had a great class. They are a wonderful couple. They were eager
To learn some dice Control techniques.

We spent most of the class working on their on axis toss. With some tweaks, with the grip, landing zone and softening their toss…

After a while their tosses were looking good! I taught them the Yuri toss, and the Super Toss too… Which enabled them to shoot from stick Right, Left, and Straight out. We had a great time together.

After class,I picked up my friends Coaster and Dennis at the Gold Coast and all we headed Downtown together with my students.
This time I took the I-15 Highway 🙂

I dropped Myron and Kim off Downtown at their hotel, The Fremont. We said our goodbyes, and looked forward to seeing each other again.. It’s amazing how many new friends I make each day, when I’m teaching.
Coaster was telling me that he used his favorite toss, The Yuri low toss at the Rio and Gold Coast and was having good rolls in the mid 20s, while I was teaching my class.

Afterwards, we played a session at Ellis Island. I used my Super Toss from Stick Right 1 and got on a monster roll! Then, the stick lady started coughing and would turn her head towards me.. thank G-d we were both wearing masks and I’m vaccinated, but it kept making me back off further from her… it really disrupted my shot and concentration, and my last toss was too soft, didn’t hit the wall and 7 out .. it was a 36 number roll.. I was in the zone and could have rolled forever, until she started coughing in my direction…

Later, Coaster, Dennis and I we went for dinner and went to an off strip casino I. Henderson… Their Coaster used his Yuri toss from Straight out and tossed a 40 number roll!!! At one time, he tossed 5 horn numbers in 6 rolls.. I started with a $4 horn and field bet, and pressed it up each time… That was a good money maker, and a great roll by Coaster.

I will be in Las Vegas until October 25th! Call if you would like to schedule a class. (954) 599-8648.
