Hi folks,

Pyrford Forum would like to invite you to its first post covid event:

Walk on the Wild Side Tea Party.

Come and support your Pyrford Neighbourhood Forum with a Walk on the Wild Side, Saturday 23rd October 1pm-5pm at the Old House on Pyrford Road.

Before the tour of the grounds, (recommended you wear wellingtons or walking shoes),  join your hosts Joy and Akeel and your committee for a welcoming glass of Pimms or a cup of tea and hear about the future plans for the land acquired from the Twisted Stone Golf Club.

On your tour you will see that all the ditches have now been cleared, (some are probably four hundred years old) and now flow and drain the land as in they did in the past. The wildlife is returning with deer, hawks, buzzards, red kites, teal, swallows and house martins etc; all now resident. During the last two or three years around three quarters of a mile of hedgerows have been planted and are encouraging a variety of smaller birds; the work on the ponds is in hand with geese, ducks, moorhens, coots and kingfishers now present.

After your walking tour of the grounds, it’s all back to the house patio area for a glass of wine or a cup of tea, all served with canapés and a cream tea, (you may learn about the restoration on the house too)!

Tickets are £20.00 per person; and all proceeds are towards the running costs of your Neighbourhood Forum.

To purchase your tickets or further information contact Cliff Bolton, 01932 347313 or email cliff.bolton@gmail.com

Take care & stay safe.

Regards,

Andy Grimshaw
PNF Chairman
