Aspire’s Autumn Newsletter 2021
We'd like to welcome you to Aspire's autumn newsletter with the news that our Social Impact Report for 2020-21 is here!

We engaged with over 2,000 local people facing disadvantage during and beyond the crucial initial months of COVID-19, ensuring those in emergency accommodation had food, medication and digital access to stay connected with vital support services, as our team continued to provide employment, housing, homelessness prevention and wellbeing support in the community.

Join us to ensure there is No Going Back

Rachel was the first participant to join our Women's Project back in December 2020. Hear from Rachel on the difference supported housing has made for her...
With coronavirus restrictions coming to an end, it's crucial that we take action towards preventing a return to pre-COVID levels of homelessness and disadvantage in Oxfordshire.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed towards our year-long 20th anniversary appeal, No Going Back, to date. Now halfway through the year, we're even closer to achieving our goals for the next year:

You can support our appeal by making a one-off donation or setting up a regular gift - and be part of our journey, as we repurpose empty properties in our communities into safe, secure homes, work with community partners to improve routes out of homelessness, and expand our employment and housing support to be there for those who need us in the months ahead.

An Evening at Newington House
A big THANK YOU to all guests who attended the recent Aspire fundraising dinner hosted by the Nettleton family at Newington House, with special guest speaker Russell Brand.

It was a fantastic evening in a stunning location, and the funds raised will help us to ensure there is No Going Back to an inequality crisis for Oxfordshire beyond COVID-19.
The Aspire Enterprise Hub comes to Cowley
September also saw the launch of our Enterprise Hub in Cowley! We've partnered with The Midcounties Co-operative to create a flexible space for local people and community groups to access enterprise development and employment support.
Aspire Women's Hub launching at The Gatehouse

Next month we’re launching a Women’s Hub at The Gatehouse in Oxford, for local women to access personalised support around wellbeing, employment, housing and homelessness prevention - with a particular focus on women with experience of the criminal justice system.

The weekly hub will serve as a welcoming space for women to meet new people, find common ground with others and access tailored support, 'tea and chat' sessions, 1:1 guidance from visiting services, workshops on a range of topics including mental health and budgeting, and additional Aspire and external services as appropriate.
