Supply chain issues making it impossible to get cabinetry on time... Or are they?
Anyone who has attempted any type of home improvement product knows that supply chain issues have caused unprecedented delays in everything from building materials to appliances to kitchen cabinetry.
There are all kinds of debates as to the underlying reasons why, but it doesn't change the fact that it seems everything is in short supply. The good news is that the dramatic price increases that we have seen in building materials seems to have reverted to near previous levels.
What hasn't changed is the long lead time of many items like cabinetry and appliances. Made to order cabinet lead times have gone from 5-8 weeks to 4-5 months. Most appliance manufacturers are only turning out their most popular items. This could affect your decision on which appliances to choose, or you may choose to wait for the appliance that you really want.
