Together We Grow: October Newsletter

Dear Community,

This Halloween season there are no tricks up our sleeves, but there are treats! 🎃 This October, Together We Grow introduces Assata Davis, our new Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC) Community Fellow and Pamela Benitez, our new Social Media and Communications Strategist!

Through her IJC fellowship, Assata will be submitting DACA renewals, work authorizations, green card applications, as well as supporting clients seeking asylum and humanitarian parole.

Pamela joins the team as UnLocal’s first Social Media and Communications Strategist, where she will be creating social media and communications content for our Legal, Education and Outreach, and Development teams. Prior to joining UnLocal, Pamela organized around Dream Teams and education justice. She is also an artist and small business owner; you can find her beautiful jewelry at Pink Cove Treasures.

Pamela says: “I admire UnLocal’s commitment to growing as an organization through an abolitionist lens.”

UnLocal is thrilled to be working with Assata and Pamela, and we cannot wait to see all that they will accomplish as the newest members of our team.
