This week is Vaiaso o te Gana Tuvalu – Tuvalu Language Week. The theme for the year is Fakaakoigina tou iloga kae tukeli ke magoi mote ataeao which means, embracing our culture and a more secure, vibrant future. Although we are still in Alert Level 3, we encourage you to visit the Ministry for Pacific People's website to have a look at the online events planned for the week! Nainai Tipelu is one of our Pacific Community Navigators and a proud Tuvaluan. Can you spot him in traditional Tuvaluan dress, leading our staff meeting?
Mental Health
Awareness Week

This week is also Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme is "Mā te kōrero, ka ora - Take time to kōrero".
Perhaps now more than ever, it is important to look after our own mental health and the mental health of those around us.
Le Va is sharing their top 5 tips for Pasifika Wellbeing:
Monday - Talk, Tuesday - Strong families, Wednesday - Connect, Thursday - Spirituality, Friday - Culture. Check out their facebook page where they talk more about each tip.

Remember that Vaka Tautua has a FREE Pacific helpline people can call -
0800 OLA LELEI (0800 652 535) if they're feeling stressed, worried or anxious and need someone to talk to. They also have a number of staff available for people to talk to in a range of Pacific languages.
Look out for vaccination buses!
You might have seen on the news that there are a number of Covid Vaccination Buses that park at different locations in the community, to vaccinate people in the area. You do NOT need an appointment, you can just walk up to any of the buses when you see them. If you know your NHI number take it with you, this just makes it a little faster for staff to register you. If you do not know it, it doesn't matter, you will still be vaccinated.

If you choose to get your vaccine at a bus or walk in vaccination centre, please remember to cancel your booking by visiting bookmyvaccine.nz OR phoning the Pacific Covid Healthline on 0800 21 12 21.

The Auckland buses are called; Shot Bro, Shot Cuzz, Busifika Vaxx, Shot Doy and Tuuwatawata.

You can find out where the buses are going to be by clicking here and visiting the Healthpoint website.
Here are the bus locations for the next few days:
