Family Night Ornament Painting
with the Pottery Place

Ornament Painting with the Pottery Place: Families that sign up can paint a ceramic ornament for Christmas at no cost. But additional ornaments are available for $9.00. Ornaments will be left that night to be glazed and fired by the Pottery Place, then we will call when they are returned to the library. This event is child oriented and is limited to families with children.

If you sign-up and can't attend, please call so that we can fill your spot.

Greenup: November 15th, 6:00 and 6:30, Limit of 25 at each. Signup opens Nov. 1st closes Nov. 12th.
Flatwoods: November 16th, 6:00 and 6:30, Limit of 25 at each. Signup opens Nov. 1st closes Nov. 12th.

The name “Chilton” has been around almost as long as cars have been on the road—and now their auto repair manuals are available online through ChiltonLibrary. Get accurate, digestible information that’s continuously updated to cover most cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs including: step-by-step repair procedures for everything from suspension, brakes, clutch, and gearbox jobs to more ambitious electrical and engine projects; troubleshooting guides for additional support; and maintenance schedules to help prevent costly repairs. Craft Night @ Flatwoods Branch

Tuesday, November 2, 5:30-6:30 pm. Unleash your inner creativity and make three unique crafts perfect to gift to someone special during the upcoming holiday season. Crafts offered will include Holiday Ornaments, macramé plant holders, and DIY Scrunchies. Register Online starting October 25th.

Saturday, November 13, 4:00. Join us for a crafty night of fun! We will be making Santas out of coffee cans and a Holiday Wreath. For ages 16 & up

Drop Your Drawers at the Library!

Make your next visit to the Library a brief one, for a good cause, as part of Greenup Library’s Drop Your Drawers campaign.

Drop off packages of new underwear for boys and girls, preferably sizes 4-16, from November, at any of the Library’s branches. Donations will help replenish Greenup County elementary schools’ supplies of emergency underpants and provide direct assistance to each school’s Family Resource Centers.

The Drop Your Drawers campaign is easily recognizable by the popular character of Captain Underpants by author and illustrator Dav Pilkey.

The library’s collection of Captain Underpants’ children’s books will be on display (and available to check out) during the Drop Your Drawers campaign. By all means, stay awhile and enjoy the library’s many services. (The Library doesn’t really want you to make your visit brief!)
