NEWSFLASH: Big Draw event - Hedgescapes
The Big Draw is a national festival to encourage everyone to have a go at drawing, dear to my heart!
Rebecca Finney (@beadoodlebug Instagram) and I are leading Hedgescapes, a free Big Draw event at Birches Farm Nature Reserve near Kington in Herefordshire this Saturday, 2nd October, 11am to 4pm, everyone is welcome. You can drop by any time or join us for the day, it's well worth giving yourself time to explore this special place owned and cared for by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.
We will be working together to create a large-scale collage inspired by the wonderful hedgerows on this reserve, with drawing stations in the Visitor Centre and outdoors with gazebos. Art materials are provided along with tea and coffee; please bring warm clothes, wellies and food.
This is a free event but donations are welcome and will be shared between Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and the cost of art materials.
Hedgescapes is part of a series of Big Draw events being put on by Made in the Marches gallery in Kington. The Big Draw theme this year is 'Make the Change' encouraging us to creatively explore ways to live in balance with the world around us, reconnect with each other and take action to crate a better world. What better place to start than in among the hedgerows which provide food, shelter and safe corridors for so much wildlife.
It would be great to see you on Saturday,
Richard
