CALLING ALL BG FAMILIESto the Alumni Room of the Brodnax Family Crusader Center on Wednesday, November 17, at 6 p.m.!
CHRISTUS Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute will introduce the CHRISTUS Human Performance Program (HPP). The APEC-type program is designed and maintained under Tom Shaw's supervision. He is the trainer for Tom Brady, Alex Rodriguez, Peyton Manning, Deion Sanders, Johnny Damon, Jason Kidd and many more past and present professional athletes.
Brian Thompson, head of the CHRISTUS Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, has personally chosen Bishop Gorman as the first school to be introduced to the HPP (not Legacy, not Tyler, not Longview High). Both CHRISTUS and Bishop Gorman are Catholic institutions with a long history of working together. Coach Lee, Coach Carmona, and Coach Dowdell have toured the phenomenal HPP facility. The November 17th meeting presents all of our families an opportunity to get an in-depth report of what the HPP can offer for our student-athletes.

On October 22, the Feast Day of St. John Paul II, we kicked off our BG Fund campaign. Our goal is 100% community participation in our BG Fund, and we welcome your help! Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating our students, and the BG Fund helps provide critical funds that directly support the school and its academic, spiritual, and extracurricular programs. Your gift to the BG Fund, no matter what size, will have a meaningful impact on every Bishop Gorman student, every day. Helper Helper is a way for our parents and students to find opportunities to serve others. There are many ways to serve others. You might want to help at a sports event, pack a box of food at the food bank, or clean up after a garage sale. Whatever your gift or talent, you can find a place to serve with Bishop Gorman.
Students will also be using this app. They'll be able to browse through the list of Christian service opportunities and select something that fits their passion. CLICK HERE to see how easy it is to add volunteer hours!
