Hatch Center Releases Report on Global Peace and Stability
Washington, DC—Today, the Hatch Center—the policy arm of the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation—released a new report outlining the findings from its symposium on global peace and stability with former US National Security Advisor Robert C. O’Brien, Ambassador Jon M. Huntsman Jr., and other experts.
“The publication of this report could not come at a more critical time,” said Hatch Foundation Executive Director Matt Sandgren. “Add to the COVID-19 pandemic a mix of other factors that are contributing to a climate of growing tension and instability: China is rising, both as a military and economic superpower; Russia continues to wage cyberwarfare against US business and government interests; and Iran has begun enriching uranium beyond designated caps. Our report outlines a response to each of these challenges and makes the case for American exceptionalism in 21st century global affairs.”
