Nurses and artists collaborated to create a snapshot of responses to the pandemic in the Mission. Clockwise from top left: an abuelita sews face masks and a car parade replaces an in-person high school graduation; Dr. Triveni Defries and daughter; Precita Eyes artists Elaine Chu, Marina Perez-Wong (aka Twin Walls) and Priya Handa; family members embrace.
Health workers explain the mural in Mission District mural gifted to community highlights COVID's impact (KTVU). At right, artist Marina Perez-Wong.
Nurses from the hospital's community clinic created this Gofundme  campaign to help fund their collaboration with Precita Eyes. The mural arts association located a wall for the work and organized the design and painting sessions.
