Deadline for grant applications to deliver October half term and Christmas holiday activities - midday 29 September 2021
We would like to remind you that the deadline for grant applications to deliver funded activity places at October half term and holiday activities and food programme (HAF) places over the Christmas holiday is midday tomorrow (Wednesday 29 September).
October half term funding
Funding is available from Public Health Dorset for half term activity and food places for children who meet specified school transitions criteria (including those who started reception year in September) and those meeting HAF eligibility criteria. Details of children that can be supported with funded activity places over October half term can be found in the link below.

Further information can be found in the grant terms and conditions and the grant information document. (Please note the T’s and C’s and the grant information document were written before the eligibility criteria was extended to include children meeting HAF eligibility criteria too.)

Funding to deliver Christmas holiday HAF places
Funding is available to deliver holiday activity places (including a meal) during the Christmas holiday for school age children in receipt of benefits-related free school meals. We are looking to fund providers at the rate typically charged for paid for places. A £3 supplement per meal, per child is also available if your rates do not typically include food. Development funding is also available, providing a great opportunity to set up or extend current out of school childcare provision. Applications can be made individually or in partnership with a school or another provider.

Eligible children are able to attend the equivalent of a 4 hour session for 4 days during the Christmas holiday. If you are able to provide an activity offer, but for less time than this, please do still put in an application for funding.

You can read the terms and conditions and the grant information in the links below.
