How Surfboards can Inspire the World
Could the humble surfboard provide a design template to inspire areas outside of the surfing world? Will the history books reflect back on surfboard creators of this era as pioneers in successful experimentation with materials? With contributions from Damien Cole, Romain Paul, Ashley Lloyd, Charlie Cadin, Donald Brink and Rodrigo Matsuda.

SurfAid : Please Consider a Donation
SurfAid specialises in working in very isolated villages where the maternal and child mortality rates are some of the highest in the world. Put simply, they do a fantastic job at helping those in need.

On FRIDAY 26 NOVEMBER, Wave Changer and NOTOX Surfboards Australia will be competing together as one team in the SurfAid Cup in Manly, raising funds for SurfAid. This revised date is due to the current Covid-19 restrictions here in Sydney.

With your support, they can give families the best chance of getting ahead by providing access to healthcare, clean water and sanitation and improved nutrition. Anything you can donate to support our efforts is greatly appreciated.

Euro / Eco Surfboard Collaboration
Fascinating collaboration between YUYO Surfboards (France), R*Concept (Spain) and Baslatex (Belgium) with the unveiling taking place in Amsterdam later this year. The surfboard you’re viewing consists of a 3D-printed core made from recycled PET plastic, wrapped in basalt cloth and finished with a plant-based resin that is recyclable. This impressive, experimental project is capped off with a stunning design, as shown above.

The Living Seawalls project (an initiative of the Sydney Institute of Marine Science) has been selected as a finalist in the inaugural Earthshot Prize, a global environment prize to discover and scale the most inspiring and innovative solutions to the greatest environmental challenges facing the planet. This incredible initiative combines ecological concepts, engineering and a creative design to encourage marine life to thrive. More here.
