Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

To mark Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, join the U of T community for a special event from 2–3:30 pm tomorrow, featuring a keynote address by Lee Maracle. There is also a collection of resources and events, compiled in collaboration with colleagues in the Centre for Indigenous Studies and the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, to encourage individual and collective learning, reflection and action with respect to the legacy of the residential school system.

Last Day to Access Turnitin

As Ouriginal is the new institutional plagiarism detection tool, all new and existing assignments using Turnitin should be switched to Ouriginal via "assignment edit settings." Instructors have until October 11, 2021 to make the change. After this point, all assignments with the Turnitin setting will no longer work.

Instructors will also no longer have access to Turnitin from past courses. If there are outstanding academic integrity cases for which an earlier Turnitin report is needed, those reports should be downloaded before October 11. See this user guide covering the shift from Turnitin to Ourignal.
