"Burn Management"

Brinkley Sandvall, MD, Assistant Professor, Department of Plastic Surgery, Division of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be leading a presentation on Tuesday, October 5 at 6 PM for CPF members on Burn Management, covering outpatient care, therapeutic options, and mitigation strategies for improving long-term physical and emotional outcomes.
The presentation is approved for CME and MOC Part 2 Credit for live attendees.
Katherine Spencer, PsyD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Division of Hospital Medicine, VUMC, and Heather Kreth, PsyD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Division of Hospital Medicine, VUMC, will be leading a presentation for CPF members on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 6 PM.
The presentation will discuss common mental health diagnoses such as anxiety/mood disorder and somatic symptoms (pain, GI issues), when to seek further care, how to access care, barriers to care, and how to approach conversations with parents or patients.

Margaret Maclin, DMD, Assistant Professor, Division of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, led a presentation for CPF members on Sept. 21 discussing tongue ties, breastfeeding, and feeding difficulties.
"Autism Management (Part 2): Co-Morbidities and Initial Treatment Options"

Paul Dressler, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Division of Developmental Medicine, VUMC, led a presentation for CPF members this week on Autism Management, discussing co-morbidities to monitor for and initial treatment options, including driving factors and medication considerations surrounding ADHD, anxiety, depression, agitation, and others.
Dr. Dressler, along with Jeffrey Hine, PhD, BCBA, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, TRIAD Licensed Psychologist, Division of Developmental Medicine, VUMC, also delivered a Part 1 in late August to this week's presentation discussing an overview of autism services and therapies, including TEIS, school-based services, community-based therapies, and transition to adult service.
