Have your say on the Athenree shared path proposal
We're exploring a new path to connect Athenree and Waihī Beach, and want to hear what you think! The proposed path includes a 2.5m wide boardwalk, 380m long across the estuary from Island View, connecting to a 440m long surfaced path through Dr North Reserve to Pōhutukawa Drive. The design will be mobility scooter and wheelchair friendly with an elevated section over the Waiau Estuary channel to allow small boats to pass under.

Kerbside grace period wraps up
Over the last 10 weeks, our contractors have been applying educational red tags to bins where pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) tags weren't attached correctly. Up until now these bins were still emptied, but from Monday 27 September, contractors won't empty bins with incorrectly fitted (and missing) PAYT tags. Head to our website to learn the dos and don'ts of PAYT tags.
