Gloria Bastidas is pictured below receiving a Coin of Excellence from the National Guard in May 2020 for her COVID public health work. (Honoring someone with a Coin of Excellence is a way for senior leadership to show their appreciation for a phenomenal job on the spot. It is more than just a thank you or a pat on the back – it is something tangible to remember the moment by.)

AR March for Reproductive Freedom
Little Rock, October 2nd at 3pm

On October 2, we’re going to send the Arkansas Legislature, the Supreme Court, and lawmakers across the country a clear, unified message. The attack on our reproductive rights will not be tolerated.

We will meet on the Capitol steps at 3:00 p.m., rain or shine. Bring your signs. Wear your mask.  AAUW

Thanks to all who agreed to staff the AAUW table for the March at the State Capitol. We will set up the AAUW table by 2p.m. If you have a friend who is interested in joining AAUW, please bring them to the AAUW table at the March so they can join with a half-price Shape the Future Membership.

Statement from AAUW National:

Every person should have the ability to make their own informed decisions regarding their reproductive life. It is beyond time for abortion to be secured legally, funded fully, and equitably available for all who need it, when they need it, without shame or stigma.

Join us on October 2 and every day to
protect reproductive health and freedom!
