‘Be Kind Online' encourages individuals to treat people online as they would in person.

Brimbank residents face fines of up to $40,000 in crackdown on rubbish dumping

Residents and businesses now face tougher penalties for environmental offences such as dumping rubbish.

The significant fines aim to curb the littering that has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Council applies to protect local heritage buildings

Council lodged the request with Heritage Victoria after it became aware of an advanced tender notice for demolition of the buildings by the Department of Education.

These school buildings both have regional significance from a historic, social and architectural perspective.

Carers Week Wellbeing Lunch

Under the Victorian Government’s safe reopening plans, vaccination is the way for all of us to get back to doing the things we love.

When it comes time to open up schools, businesses, shops, activities, sports, gatherings and homes, it’s important that people in every part of our community are protected against the virus.

Brimbank’s parks have played an important role in supporting the community’s physical and mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout this time, Brimbank Council’s Parks Services team made sure the city’s recreational spaces have stayed in top shape for residents to enjoy during this tough time for so many.

Varna Place Reserve in Keilor Downs has been transformed into a greener space with a new vegetated swale.

But what exactly is a swale?

Swales are sunken channels that are created to collect and transfer stormwater, delaying stormwater run-off and helping to reduce pollutants.

The lockdown has meant Council has had to make changes to the way it delivers services.
