CONCERT VENUES, DATES; NEW BOARD MEMBERS;
BRS SPOTLIGHT: PAT SPORY AND MIKE SPORY

And we're back!

We have all been living with a higher level of uncertainty that any of us wanted or are comfortable with, but we are happy to announce our concert dates are set for December 5, 10, and 12.

The concert on December 5 will be performed at First Baptist Church of Winchester, on the corner of Piccadilly and Washington Streets near Old Town.  The concert will begin at 4:00 p.m.

The December 10 venue is Front Royal Presbyterian Church, 115 Luray Avenue, Front Royal.  The performance starts at 7:30 p.m.

Finally, we are happy to sing our debut concert at Trinity Episcopal Church, Upperville, on December 12, beginning at 4:00 p.m.  Trinity Church is located at 9108 John S. Mosby Highway, Upperville.

We are grateful to the pastors, staffs, and congregations of these churches for hosting us this season.

It has been a long time without singing together for us and for choristers worldwide.  We look forward to bringing our music back to the region, and we appreciate all of your support during this unplanned pause.  Save the dates, and we'll see you in December!

New members of BRS Board
The Blue Ridge Singers Board of Directors recently welcomed two new board members, Laura Shields and Keiko Slater.
  • Laura lives in Stephens City, VA, and is a singing member of the Blue Ridge Singers.  She is an Estate Gardener at The Inn at Little Washington.  A former member of the Southside Singers in Northern Virginia, Laura is active in her church's praise group.
  • Keiko Slater was born and raised in Toyko, Japan.  Aftet college, she came to the US, eventually graduating from Shenandoah University with a degree in business administration.  She and her husband raised two children.  Keiko continued working as an interpreter for Japanese businessmen and also Japanese students visiting Shenandoah to observe its medical programs.  She has served her church, Sacred Heart in Winchester, in several capacities.
We are so grateful to Laura and Keiko for being willing to serve and for the contributions they are making!

Singer Spotlight: Pat Spory and Mike Spory
A musical marriage adds up to the benefit of BRS

Many good things in our world start with someone’s dream.  A nudging in the spirit, the seed of an idea that will not go away.  Sometimes people come along, see that seed, and want to help water and make it grow.

Pat Spory and her daughter Beth Whitney had that kind of dream.  Read the rest here.
