CURRENT HOME RENOVATION PROJECTS
NOVEMBER 2021
CARPET REPLACEMENT IN ALL HOMES (On-Going)
We have (finally!) started to replace the carpets in our homes.  It is a very slow process due to having to wait for the manufacturer to make the carpet, finding a time that works with the installer, plus our very high occupancy rates.  Please bear with us as we do our best to get this project complete.  We are very much aware of the fact that the old carpets are looking a little worse for wear...  but we are moving as fast as possible and soon, all of our homes will once again have fresh-looking carpets!  


REPLACING TILE IN FOUR HOMES (On-Going)
Over time, the floor tiles in the kitchen and living area on the main floor have begun to crack due to the shifting of the foundation.  Over the years we were able to replace a tile or two on our own when needed, but this particular style of tile has been discontinued and we are no longer able to maintain this issue on our own.  There were several homes in particular that had shown the greatest amount of breakage.  Due to this,  our board of directors decided it would be best to replace the tiles in those specific homes. 

Due to the expensive nature of this project and the amount of time it takes to complete a single home, only four will be completed at this time.



CONTINUED WORK- NEW FIREPLACES (On-Going)
This is another very big undertaking that will take some time to complete.  As the supplies and labor become available, we try our best to have them installed quickly.  All of our homes will be outfitted with these new fireplaces.  The switch on the wall will still be used to ignite the flames (it is a little different however because once the switch is turned on, the fireplace will make a beeping sound and click multiple times, then after about a minute, the flame will come to life).


NEW CABLE BOXES & INTERNET LINES (COMING SOON!)
We are excited to announce that in the coming months, we will be starting the process of having new internet lines laid down and updated cable boxes installed in all homes.  Having this done will greatly improve the internet quality and speed.  The exact timeline is still being worked out with the cable company, but we hope that this project will be started by the end of the year.  
NOTE:
 We are hard at work trying to complete as much as possible with the open times that we do have.  Most of these projects will be done at the start of the week and finished just in time for our weekend arrivals- as to not affect our availability. 

Also, home requests are already hard to accommodate at times, so please keep in mind that if a request is put in for someone to stay in a "renovated home", your request may or may not
be fulfilled. 

Requests are always welcomed, but not guaranteed.
GOLF NEWS
BOOK TEE TIMES ASAP
BOOK TEE TIMES UP TO 45 DAYS IN ADVANCE
The golf courses are extremely busy, and as always, we urge our Owners to take advantage of the 45-day booking window. 

We fully expect there to be tournaments throughout the upcoming fall and spring seasons as it is prime golfing weather. Last-minute tee times, even during the week, will sometimes be hard to find, especially for early mornings. 

Our staff continues to keep the online golf calendar as up-to-date as possible to help our Owners with their planning needs.  

IMPORTANT NOTES & CHANGES
:

 
UNACCOMPANIED GOLF- 
When a member is NOT going to be present for a tee time but instead will be having friends or family play golf during their reserved time at Barton Creek, these guests will be booked as Unaccompanied Golf Players. 

This also includes situations where members book multiple back-to-back tee times and are not playing with one or more groups. 


Example An Ownership (2 members) would like to book 3 tee times back-to-back for 4 players each. These tee times will be booked as: 
  • Tee Time One- 1 Member, 3 Guests
  • Tee Time Two- 1 Member, 3 Guests
  • Tee Time Three- 4 Unaccompanied Guests

PLAYER NAMES & DESIGNATIONS REQUIRED-
We will now require all player names & designations (Friends, Family, or Unaccompanied) to be provided at the time of booking. 


MAKING CHANGES TO TEE TIMES
Due to the high demand for tee times, challenges checking in for golf, and the uptick in Members calling after the fact to have golf rates adjusted, the Pro-Shop is now requiring all changes be made PRIOR to check-in via the Owners Club Office.
  • If any changes need to be made, they must go through the Owners Club office prior to checking in for the round of golf.
     
  • If we are not notified of changes, members will be charged the rates that were originally reserved.  No Exceptions. 
     
Examples of this include changes to the type of players (Family vs Friend) and also changes to the number of players.  If a tee time has been reserved for 4 golfers but only 3 actually show up for the round and no one ever contacted the Owners Club office to notify them of this change in advance, the Pro-Shop will bill the member for that additional unused round.

GREENS COMMITTEE UPDATE: OCTOBER 2021
Barton Creek Country club has formed a Greens Committee that consists of ten BCCC golf members, Tony Miller, Director of Agronomy, and Mike Coleman, Club Director of Golf Operations. Their goals are to provide feedback and input on golf course set-up and conditions to Tony and the Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) team
and to keep the BCCC membership updated on issues impacting the golf courses.

2022 PGA EVENT CONFIRMED

PGA EVENT PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP | APRIL 14 - 21, 2022
Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, to Host 2022 PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac, Club Car, and Omega
The PGA of America today announced that the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, will host the PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac, Club Car, and OMEGA, the world’s largest all-professional event, on its Fazio Foothills (primary) and Coore-Crenshaw Courses in April of 2022.

FALL & WINTER POOL ACCESS
RESORT & COUNTRY CLUB
THE POOLS ARE OPEN!

Resort Pool
8 a.m - 10 p.m. Daily
The Resort pool is now available for use by club members during normal operating hours. Resort pools are heated during the winter for year-round use.

Members Only Pool
5 a.m. - 10 p.m. Daily
The Members' Pool winterization is now complete! The temperature of the water is currently 81 degrees and will continue to rise to 83 degrees over the next few days. Our "polar bears" are now free to swim!


The Pool Cabanas are officially closed for the season.

REMINDERS
EXCHANGE EXISTING RESERVATIONS WITH FELLOW OWNERS ON OUR EXCHANGE BOARD
In this area, you will find our new member exchange board designed specifically for Owners Club at Barton Creek members.  Anyone wishing to list the time they currently have reserved and find that they are unable to use may list their dates on our exchange board with the ability to swap reservations with fellow Owners Club members.
