In order to accommodate the varied needs of our families, in person and virtual conferences will be offered this time. Please see the information below to help you with scheduling a time to meet with your child’s teacher. We are looking forward to connecting with families and discussing our amazing students!

Dear Prairie Ridge students and families,
We are excited to announce the return of grade level concerts this 2021-22 academic year for 1st through 5th grades! All concerts will be held at Coal Ridge Middle School in the Cafetorium. Please mark your calendars with the concert dates listed below:
-
1st Grade: Thursday, October 21st @ 5pm
-
2nd Grade: Thursday, October 21st @ 6pm
-
3rd Grade: Tuesday, March 29th @ 5pm
-
4th Grade: Tuesday, March 29th @ 6pm
-
5th Grade: Monday, December 13th @ 5pm
Keeping our schools open to in-person learning is a high priority and requires all of us to engage with the health and safety protocols in school and in the community. To this end, we will maintain our current health and safety measures that are in alignment with the recommendations of our health agency partners during all concerts.
-
As mandated by the Department of Public Health, all students in grades PK-12 must wear a mask while inside of our school buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
-
Student performers with a mask exemption will be able to participate in the concert without his/her mask.
-
All audience members (including students with mask exemptions) will be required to wear a mask in the building.
We strongly encourage your student(s)’s participation, as this is an opportunity to reconnect, to see your student(s)’s musical progress, and to celebrate your student(s)’s successes! We also understand that expectations surrounding safety and health protocols can potentially raise concerns and hesitations in participation at the concerts. We, therefore, want to ensure all students and families are able to opt out of participation without judgment or repercussion.
Lastly, because the restrictions and mandates are subject to change, concerts might be cancelled, held online, or postponed as a result. We will do our best to notify families in a timely manner.
Students lost the opportunity last year to make music together and demonstrate their achievements in music literacy, singing and performing on instruments. It is our intention to renew this important part of their development. We hope you can join us for your students’ grade level concerts!

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to maintain safe and healthy school environments during this challenging time. Symptom screening has been an important part of our safety protocols during the coronavirus health crisis.
-
Major symptoms: feeling feverish, temperature of 100.4 or greater, loss of taste or smell, new or unexplained persistent cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
-
Minor symptoms: sore throat, runny nose or congestion, muscle or body aches, headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
If your child’s major symptoms do not resolve within 24 hours or their minor symptoms do not resolve within 48 hours, you should remain home, contact your medical provider, and seek testing for COVID-19. Your student must remain fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and have resolved symptoms before returning to school.
Your child should remain home while waiting for COVID-19 test results. You must contact your school if your student tests positive for COVID-19.

Again, thank you for your continued support as we navigate the complexities of the coronavirus pandemic and ensure the safety of our community.
