Your Community, Your Vision - Dun Laoghaire Rathdown

What Vision do you have for our Community, for now, and for Future Generations?

Consultation Open: 27th of September 2021 at 12.00pm
Closing Date: 8th of November 2021 at 12.00pm

AIMS
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Public Participation Network has been asked to develop a Vision for Community Wellbeing. This Vision will act as a guiding vision for everything done by the network. It will be a benchmark for DLR PPN Representatives and the Secretariat – feeding into policy decisions and planning activities. It’s a shared vision for the wellbeing of our communities for this and future generations.

The Vision for Community Wellbeing For This and Future Generations identifies the key issues that member groups in the DLR PPN area consider are important for their community to be “The best that it can be for this and future generations” in terms of six main themes:
  • Social and Community Development
  •  Participation, Democracy and Good Governance
  • Values, Culture & Meaning
  •  Health (Physical and Mental)
  • Work, Economy & Resources
  • Environment & Sustainability
We wish to thank dlr County Council for their collaboration on this project.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
The consultation will be run through a series of workshops with the local community, and local stakeholders. Anyone living, working or having activities in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown can register to participate in one of the workshops.

Join us to “Explore your Interests & Discover your Community”

In the past year the pandemic has made it hard to feel connected. This October, join us on Thursday evenings to enjoy lively, interesting, relaxed and friendly conversations where we’ll discover what can help us reconnect and feel more fully alive.

  • Would you like to connect with others, and meet new friends?
  • Would you like to get an idea of what’s available in your community that matches your interests?
  • Would you like to discover ways that you can contribute to your community, and feel a part of things? How can your interests match with what those around you need?
  • Would you like to discover or recover hobbies, interests, and ways to feel good about life? Or just discover some new possibilities for the year ahead?
  • Perhaps you have made discoveries in the past year that you’d be happy to share with others?

If any or all of these ring true for you, we’d love to have you in our conversations.
