Paint the Town Kick Off Breakfast

This November, we're splashing St. Albert in purple & it starts - like most good things - with a delicious breakfast! Join us Oct 27 from 7:30-9am to support local businesses, families & help us kick off our First Annual Paint the Town Purple. When you make a personal pledge to the campaign, you'll get your own personal bag of goodies! Tickets are $25/each & can be purchased here.
We will have a special newsletter edition coming out in a couple of weeks listing all the ways you can support local, how our businesses are painting the town purple, & the fabulous prizes & goodies out there that we've got in store for you!

We're Hiring for our Clinical Team!

We're seeking a P/T Child & Youth Counsellor to support children & youth who have been impacted by family violence. Learn more on how to apply here.

We're also seeking a P/T Clinical Supervisor to support our multi disciplinary team. Learn more on how to apply here.

Strangulation Identification Training

The Alberta Elder Abuse Awareness Council is offering Strangulation Identification Training on Nov 4 from 1-4 pm. Registration fee is $30.00. For more info or to register visit their website

Family Violence & Family Law Online Courses

These free courses, which have been accredited by law societies, provide information about family violence and family law and explain changes to the Divorce Act relating to family violence. While the courses were prepared with legal advisers in mind, it is available to anyone who is interested in learning more. Courses are available online here.

We're looking anyone who may be open to being interviewed for a podcast series on abuse, survival, and healing to hopefully inspire others to reach out or feel hopeful about their own situations.  If you would be interested in sharing your story and want to discuss how we can do so safely, contact Areni at 780-460-2195 ext. 306 or areni@stopabuse.ca.
