Wafts of fresh terpenes greet us in the morning, making us anxious to get out into the garden to check on the plants, who clearly love this time of year as much as we do!
Between keeping trellises strong to support heavy branches and constant "yellow-leafing" (removing leaves that have turned yellow or brown) it's a very busy season. It is pure joy to get lost in the plants, making them as happy and healthy as possible, while listening to birdsong and feeling the warm sunshine on our backs.
We also have been preparing the drying area and getting all harvest supplies in stock. After so many years, we have it down to an excellent system now, although every year we do tweak it a bit more.
There's so much to plan for too, as the next season approaches. One highlight will be in July when the California State Fair features Cannabis for the very first time!
This is a huge advancement and we are so proud to have been selected as
Cannabis Ambassadors.
Later in July 2022, we just heard we will be going to Amsterdam to judge their
Cannabis World Cup Festival, another huge honor thanks to Julie Chiarello and
Skunk Magazine who are sponsors of the event.
We also are making plans already for the
Emerald Cup Harvest Ball to be held December 11 and 12 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds where we will again host the AREA 101 Lounge - and we hope you can all come to see us there!
The Fairgrounds was also the site of the
Hall of Flowers this past month.
It was a total treat to be together, in person, with our fellow cannabis entrepreneurs after such a long time.
We also so enjoyed our store demo at
Liberty dispensary in San Francisco - another great time to be together with the cannabis clan.
Harvest season is a time of hope and renewal, and the feeling of getting back to some sort of "normal" fills the air. May you all be healthy and happy and enjoy the fruits of the season. We certainly can't wait to share them with you!
Peace & Love to all
