Hi <<First Name>>,

To make KBD.news’ core features sustainable, I have to close the huge gap between donations and time invested, so expect me dialing down my activity on some platforms.

And these are the posts I thought were worth sharing this week:

  1. As of today, giveaways are banned on r/mk. My thoughts on this and my recent winning streak (with strategy) in this week’s editorial.

  2. The Mosquito, a 34 key Bluetooth, column-staggered split by jamesmnw with splay.

  3. The VColChoc44 is an Atreus-like low-profile monoblock split by jpconstantineau with on-board RP2040.

  4. Yacc46 - Another monoblock split with column splay and all the bells and whistles. Designed by by 1m38.

  5. Review: Gateron Box Ink Pink switches. The usual exhaustive study by ThereminGoat.

  6. Tools: Dactyl Chimera, a 3D ergo keyboard test bench by WolfIcefang.

  7. A method for low profile socketing with standard 24 pin wide socket. Posted by atlantesque.

  8. Vintage: The IBM Lighted Program Function Keyboard (LPFK) was used as an extra input device when doing computer aided design on the IBM RS/6000 series of machines.

  9. An Ericsson/Telekom keyboard with unusual Escape key/cluster spotted by retr0FPS.

  10. An Intel MDS 225 with a divine key arrangement posted by absurd_logic589. Help me figure out what “deselect” in this context means.

  11. Inspiration: Mr_Cupcake33 finished his foldable build and a nice blend of walnut and acrylic in this layered case.

What do you think? I’d like to hear your opinion over in the r/mk thread.
