Hello and welcome to the October 19 edition of the Syllabus newsletter.
We're chuffed to be here in your inbox.

On Friday, Syllabus appeared in the New York Times' "At Home and Away" newsletter, wherein we were deemed, "neat." Check it out !
This week's syllabus is Five Ways to Cook an Egg by Bettina Makalintal.

Bettina measures her days not in minutes or hours, but in eggs. For the past year and a half, they have kept her company, a reliable and versatile kitchen staple. But time is not the only thing eggs stand for in Bettina’s syllabus. Each method for cooking eggs gives way to a cache of associations concerning the vibrant interplay between life, thought, and food. The syllabus speaks to food’s fascinating contradictions: simple yet complex; contentious yet comforting; imperfect and yet, just right.
