The Grimsley PTSA is also participating in the NCPTA “Give Me 5” Membership Challenge by attempting the “21 in 21” task! If our unit adds 21 members between October 21st and November 21st we will be eligible to win prizes for our program. Schedule Change For This Week
Monday, 10/25, and Tuesday, 10/26, are mandated Teacher Workdays. There will be no school for students.
Wednesday, 10/27, will be a Remote Learning day for 9th, 11th, & 12th grades. Students will follow our normal bell schedule. Instruction will be live (with the exception of the teachers administering the PreACT), and attendance will be taken. Only 10th grade students will be on campus. Once 10th graders are done testing they will go to their regular classes in person.
Red Ribbon Week 2021 - “Drug Free Looks Like Me”
Schools like ours are celebrating Red Ribbon Week across the entire country. The Red Ribbon is a symbol of our commitment towards creating a drug free America. On Friday, 10/29, we invite students to visit the Red Ribbon Week table in the Cafeteria during lunch to take the Drug Free Pledge.
PreACT – 10/27 – 10th Grade Only
10th graders will be taking the PreACT on Wednesday, October 27th. Due to testing, this will be a REMOTE day for NON-TESTERS.

Grimsley Haunted Tour
The Grimsley Honors Theater classes present A Haunted Tour on October 28th & 29th starting at 7pm. Tours will run every 10 minutes until 7:50pm. Tours will begin at the Chance-Cousins Auditorium.

Belk Scholarship (Davidson College) and the Jefferson Scholarship (UVA) nominations are due to Ms. Taylor by Nov. 5 at 5:30pm. To be considered, you must submit a letter of recommendation and a resume.

SAT Dates - November 6th, December 4th, March 12th, May 7th, and June 4th
November 4th - Senior Class Meeting for senior items with Herff Jones in the auditorium during Home Room.
November 9th - Senior Supply Orders during lunch for students and in the evening for parents.
November 10th - Senior Supply Orders - lunch only (Alcove)
January 26th - Panoramic picture to be taken during homeroom in the Gym.
Week of February 7th - Cap and Gown pictures will be taken in the Auxiliary Gym during English Classes.
March 1st - ACT testing day for Juniors. This is another great day for a college visit.
March 3rd - Cap and Gown picture retakes.
