Ecolink Adventure

Welcome home fifth grade! They returned Friday from an outdoor adventure at Camp Eagle in West Texas. The Ecolink trip was full of nature and fun!

Fall Spirit Day

The PTO invites friends and family to Mia's Table on Thursday, Oct. 21 for a delicious meal (lunch, dinner or both) that also supports HSES. Mia's Table will donate back 20% of the proceeds! Students that participate will be eligible for a free dress pass.
* Enjoy a special appearance by Saint at dinner.
* Mention HSES when ordering, does not apply to third parties such as Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc.
* If you miss the on-site free dress pass distribution, bring your receipt to the front office to redeem.
* Free Dress Day will be announced at a later time.

Spread the Word

Invite your friends, neighbors and coworkers to Open House Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. Spread the word on social media, chat groups, neighborhood portals or any other outlet that can help us promote our wonderful school!

Pumpkin Contest

Enter the annual pumpkin exhibit and decorating contest for a fun family activity.
1. Purchase and decorate your pumpkin.
2. Drop off labeled pumpkin Monday, Oct. 25.
3. Include $10 fee to enter the contest.
4. View colorful display Oct. 25 to Oct. 28.
5. Pick up pumpkin Thursday, Oct. 28.
A $10 fee per submission applies. Make checks payable to HSES with "pumpkin contest" in the memo. Label pumpkins with student name and grade. A committee will select and announce the winners Thursday, Oct. 28. Remaining pumpkins are discarded Friday, Oct. 29.

EC Pumpkin Patch

Stop by the Pumpkin Patch in the Early Childhood playground area to view the cute display! The EC staff and families created this wonderful backdrop that is available for photo ops as long as children are not present in the tot lot.

Athletic Pictures

Pictures for Soccer, Volleyball and Youth Sports are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 21 after school. Students that participated in these categories are eligible to wear their team shirt to school this day and must bring the full sports uniform for pictures. Youth Sports students must be accompanied by an adult.

Middle School Dance

StuCo and NJHS are organizing the MS dance party Friday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The Halloween-themed social will act as the 5th-8th grade costume party and celebration. An entrance fee applies to raise funds for student events.  

Costume Parade

We can’t wait to see the littles stroll around in their cuteness Thursday, Oct. 28 at 8:15 a.m. Early Childhood and Primary School students will parade in costumes for families and friends outside. LS-MS students will watch the parade inside the gym. Guests are welcome to view the parade outside with masks encouraged. The inside portion will be limited to school only.

Halloween Festivities

Students will celebrate the fun holiday Thursday, Oct. 28 as follows:
*EC-PS dress up for Costume Parade.
*LS dress up in book character.
*MS dress up in orange and black.
*Class parties are for students only.
*No food for EC parties, instead crafts and activities.
*PS-MS activities can include food if individually wrapped.

Report Cards

K-8th grade will receive report cards Thursday, Oct. 28 for the first trimester. P3-P4 will receive the first report card at the conclusion of the first semester in December. Report cards for Primary School follow a semester cycle.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences take place Friday, Oct. 29 and there will be NO SCHOOL for all students (including Early Childhood). Parents received sign-ups to schedule an in-person or virtual meeting with teachers. Conferences are for parents with children in EC Twos through 8th grade to review student progress.

Trunk or Treat

One of the most popular Holy Spirit Episcopal Community events is coming on Halloween! Join us for Trunk or Treat Sunday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. for lots of family activities and surprises. Decorate your trunk and let your children enjoy an afternoon of safe trick or treating.
