Are you a fair-weather walker?

I know there are all sort of romantic notions about walking and singing in the rain.

Forget all of that. I don’t like to walk in the rain. Kinda hard when many of days in the Pacific Northwest better known as the Pacific North Wet. I have noticed something though...

What a Team of Pastors!

We have a quality team of pastors in Washington Conference! The conference leadership team just met with the nine districts of this ministry territory in the last three weeks. We shared two hours meeting together and then shared a meal with lots of stories, questions, prayers, dialogue, and interaction. The heart for Jesus and for ministering to His people is evident in each pastor on our team. Thank you, pastors, for investing well in God's kingdom!

Share a word of appreciation with our pastoral team! What do you most appreciate about your pastor? We'll forward your message to one or many pastors.
Thank you, Pastors!

A Financial Praise the Lord!

Our Finance Team is in awe of what God is doing through you! Before the pandemic, only 30 percent of donations came through online. Now 70 percent of tithe and offering is returned and given online. Even our tithe per capita has increased!

Before the pandemic, it was an annual struggle to balance the budget. Now we have a balanced budget for 2022...in October! This never happens!

Your giving habits have significantly increased, you are seeing God provide, and blessings are overflowing. Our tithe year-to-date is $16.6 million, representing a two million dollar jump from this time last year. Our year-to-date tithe increase is currently 13.24 percent!

We would love to hear more stories about your financial partnership with God! What's your story of God's blessings above and beyond?

Carrs are on the move

Washington Conference's vice president for administration, Craig Carr, and his wife Carisa are on the move! Craig shares: "It is with Spirit-filled conviction of God’s will and a sense of peaceful resolve that I have accepted the call to serve as Ministerial Director for the Mid-America Union Conference, beginning in January, 2022. Carisa and I have very much enjoyed our time here in Washington and are we know God is blessing this territory through each of you. Thank you for what you continue to do to advance the kingdom of God."

Supporting Family-Friendly Christian Radio

I recently visited with my ministry friends Cameron and Colleen Beierle at KACS Christian radio broadcasting from Chehalis. Their signal event extends now to Enumclaw and parts of the South Sound!

The Beierle family wholeheartedly invests in sharing quality radio programming in Southwest Washington. Sharathon is coming soon and it was a pleasure and an honor to drop off an early donation and share in conversation. You are welcome to donate early, too, at kacs.org.

Your support of your local Christian radio station - whether KACS or your local Christian radio - helps share the love of Jesus through the airwaves.

You are interested in prison ministry!

And you tried to connect with Floyd Marshall...

but a formatting issue on Floyd's email address kept you from contacting him!

Here's Floyd's email: laytonmars@hotmail.com. You may also call him at 253-365-8944.

The prison system in western Washington is once again reopening to fully vaccinated volunteers and there are three key ways to volunteer in prison ministry. You are especially invited to attend and participate in an orientation and training session on November 6 from 3-5 pm at South Tacoma Adventist Fellowship (additional training times and locations can be arranged, too).

Your Family Worship Time is Important!

We hope you were able to tap into the scriptures and prayers for #31DaysintheSon on Facebook and Instagram. And more importantly - we hope you will continue enriching your family's spiritual growth through family worship time.

We've just touched the surface of exploring the nature and names of Jesus this month. You are welcome to dig in deeper with Dick Eastman's book Awesome: Exploring the Nature and Names of Jesus (Chosen Books, 2021, used by permission). Eastman is a great friend of the Adventist Church and you will be blessed as an individual and as a family as you spend a "thoughtful hour" reflecting on the attributes of Jesus.

Our Jesus is supreme and incomparable!

Remembering Two Leaders

Jerry Jones, a long-time pastor in Washington Conference, passed away on September 27. His family is planning a memorial service for Sabbath, October 30, at 3 pm at Bremerton Adventist Christian Church. You are welcome to come honor his life and celebrate the memories. Donations in Pastor Jerry's honor may be given to Adventist Frontier Mission.

Roger Bookter, a master electrician and member of Bellevue Adventist Church, passed away on October 9 after battling cancer. The memorial service will happen Sabbath, November 6, at 4 pm at Bellevue Church, and you are invited. Donations may be given to Kirkland SDA School student scholarship fund. Roger poured a lot of volunteer hours into KSDA over the years, and considered our Adventist schools a high priority.
We have a high level of vaccination in the State of Washington, and we are still in a pandemic where good health and safety habits are still important.

  • Whatever your vaccination status and over the age of 5, please wear a mask at church.
  • If you are gathered for a small group and everyone in attendance is vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask (especially if outdoors).
  • If you visit a school campus or community service center, please wear a mask and cooperate with the local health screening process.
As always, kindness and grace to each other in our interactions goes a long way.
