I just did this life size hand study for the painting Danae. The painting is almost done. The closest thing to us when viewing the painting is this, her right hand. The ink drawing enables me to layer details, forms, shadows, and lights. Perhaps in the painting I will only need of few of oil brush marks, but the drawing will be a great reference for the finishing touches, much better to have than a photo.
