He and his wife Karen moved to Hungary in 1992 along with their two small children, Chris and Becky. Dave was the founding director of the Word of Life Bible Institute Hungary, which began in 1994. He spoke excellent Hungarian and taught in Hungarian as well as English in the Bible Institute. He also served regularly in Hungarian churches, and campers enjoyed his music and fun in summer camps. In 2009 he and Karen moved back to the US to begin a new ministry, the Alliance for Biblical Integrity. Dave and Karen remained close friends of Word of Life Hungary, and Dave continued to teach here and in other Word of Life Bible Institutes as a regular guest lecturer. Their son Chris serves as the Administrative Director of Word of Life Hungary. Dave is survived by his wife Karen, their two children Chris and Becky, and six grandchildren. He also leaves behind an extended family of more than a thousand Bible School students and others in Hungary who were spiritually impacted and grew in Christ under his ministry. Dave will be greatly missed, but we are comforted to know he is now with the Lord that he served. Please continue to pray for Karen and the family.
