Each day this week we will share some highlight events and activities running as part of Maths Week 2021, plus we have some bonus brain teasers and challenges in store for our subscribers.

Primary Teacher Workshop with Steve Sherman
Tuesday 19 October 3.30-4.30pm
Join Steve for a hands-on workshop, introducing teachers to a range of tools and ideas to give your classroom a maths makeover!

Secondary Teacher Workshop with Andrew Jeffrey
Tuesday 19 October 4.30-5.30pm 
In this session, former teacher and inspector Andrew Jeffrey will share his favourite, magical moments to use in a secondary maths classroom. You will learn tricks to amaze and engage your students, covering such topics as probability, Algebra and Fibonacci. All of these have been tried and tested in secondary classrooms. Rearranging Equations Bookmark Competition with MTU

First year to TY students are invited to design a bookmark that explains how to rearrange equations. 
Rules and entry details are available here. Entries close 5 November 2021.

Celebrating 10 years of the Maths Week Maths Eyes Competition

Wednesday 20 October 19.15pm
This session for parents and teachers will celebrate some of the many creative posters that have been submitted over the years and we hope that this can act as a springboard for teachers, parents and children to see how they can use their Maths Eyes in their everyday life. Register here
