New Hot Hub location from 1st November

Demand for HOT HUB appointments remains high and after an extensive search for a new hot hub location, we are pleased to inform you all that on Monday 1st Nov a new Hot Hub at Melrose Surgery, 120a Burngreave Road, Burngreave Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S3 9DE, This will enable us to release additional Hot Hub appointments during the latter part of the day.

Please continue to book patients in using our guidance for appointment suitability and remember  hot-hubs all patients will be texted by PCS after you have booked the appointment, there is no need to send a text message via your practice systems as we will confirm location and arrival instructions in advance of the appointment directly with the patient. 

Physio service review

We are working with PCNs and practices to adjust our physio service. We want to make it more robust and provide a more consistent service to practices.

From feedback we know that the physio roles work better when they are directly embedded into practices, as they enable staff to feel part of a team. Some of you are concerned this means PCS moving away from the service; to reassure you we are 100% committed to this and our offer remains unchanged, the key change is better alignment to network that will improve connectivity and relationships and optimise the capacity that we have between us.  To do that we are currently working with practices and PCNs to:

Training for PCN staff

Register below for free CPR and fire safety training sessions which are available to any PCN-employed staff. These sessions are provided by Primary Training Solutions.
 
Places are offered on a first-come first-served basis, however if your choice of date is fully booked please add your details to the waiting list and we will contact you if a place becomes available. Some of these courses will be delivered via the Zoom platform so all booked staff must have appropriate equipment (computer/laptop with microphone and camera)

As GP practices you came together to create PCS to do the things that you can't do alone. It's your organisation. We want to work with clinicians, managers and practice teams from the outset when services are being created.  As such please register your interest areas, so we can contact you directly when any opportunity arises to be involved in project development or similar.

The PCS team is always keen to hear about anything you would like to raise with us in the way of feedback or any ideas you may have on how we might shape things going forwards. 
 
Dr Andy Hilton and Nicki Doherty keep a lunch time 'drop in' slot available in their diary on Wednesday (Andy) and Friday (Nicki).  If you would like to catch-up with them in one of those, please simply click the button below, and we will get back to you to arrange that.

Please note that these 'drop-in' sessions are in addition to the 1:1 meetings we have been arranging with practices.
