Dear Friends of Duval & Stachenfeld,
We have two very exciting updates to share with you.
First, in a well-deserved and long overdue transition, we have named senior real estate partners Chris Gorman and Kim Le the new Co-Chairs of the Real Estate Department. Chris and Kim both started at D&S out of law school 17 years ago and have been part of the foundation that built D&S into the powerhouse real estate practice it is today. They have always embodied the best of D&S through their commitment to making D&S a better place to work, their commitment to training and mentoring associates, their involvement in life at D&S, and living the Firm values. Under Kim and Chris's leadership, our real estate group is equipped to meet the rapidly changing needs of our attorneys and our clients during these uncertain times.
Second, finance partner Ilya Leyvi has been appointed Co-Chair of the Real Estate Finance Practice Group, joining Tom O’Connor at the helm. Ilya has been a rising star since he joined the firm out of law school in 2013 – wowing people internally and externally. In addition, Ilya is a triple threat as a lawyer – not only is he a top-notch lender’s lawyer, but he also represents borrowers, and he can handle the toughest equity doc out there. Ilya is truly a case study in the success that we love to see from associates rising through the ranks at Duval & Stachenfeld, and we look forward to seeing his leadership skills propel the finance group’s upward trajectory. Together with Tom, Ilya will take our real estate finance practice to the next level.
