Day of the Dead Activities
Advisory presentations and coloring pages wrap up Monday 10/25. You can hang the coloring sheets in your classroom.
The altar by Ms. Cruz / Immersion opens for viewing Monday. You're invited to place a photo of a loved on in a frame on the it or stop by to see it.
An altar by Ms. Carrillo is also being made in the main office using many items from Ms Buccioni's collection. You're also welcome to place frames on it.

La Catrina
While Día de Muertos was born long ago as a marriage of Aztec and Catholic traditions, the image of La Catrina is from the 1900's. In her fancy French hat, she is a satirical image from artists Jose Guadalupe Posada and Diego Rivera who reminds us that no matter what class we are from when we're alive, "death makes us all equal when stripped of our fancies." --Aguilera

Samohi Baseball Christmas Tree Fundraiser Online Shop Open!
It's the time of year support Samohi's baseball program by participating in their annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser for Samohi Baseball. I hope that you will consider supporting the program this year by purchasing a tree, a tree for the troops, or by sending a check made out to "Samohi Baseball" to 601 Pico Blvd. Santa Monica CA 90405, Attention: Head Baseball Coach. The last day to pre order a tree is November 15. The date for delivery or pick up at Samohi will be Saturday, December 4th. The link for the online store can be found below:

ATTENTION 8th GRADE PARENTS
The John Adams Yearbook staff is currently selling 8th grade kudos ads. A kudos is a celebratory ad in the yearbook that you purchase and design. It is a great reflection of your child’s journey and time at John Adams. Spots for kudos are limited and the deadline to order a kudos ad is 12/31/2021. The ad space is sold "first come first serve" so it would be best to place your order as soon as possible.
