Dear WAG Community,

The competition season is fast approaching; please read through as there are many topics covered in this email. Some of the information below was circulated in the GymBC Weekly newsletter.

GymCan Update
GymCan has recently updated various documents available on their WAG Technical Documents page. The 2021-2022 Aspire, HP and CCP (Canadian Competitive Program, formerly CJO) manuals are now available as well as an updated Equipment Specifications document. The CCP is listed there as CPP erroneously. 

BC Winter Games
The 2022 BCWG Technical Package is now available here. 

WAG Westerns Trials
Although the Twisters Invitational had to push their dates a bit, Westerns Trials will still be held there. Please note that uniform sizing will have to be complete PRIOR to this event. More details to come. 

Qualifying Scores to BCs
GBC and the WTC have decided that there will be no qualifying score to attend BC Championships for the 2021-2022 season. However, clubs should be prepared for this to be reinstituted for the 2022-2023 season. 

WAG Operations Manual
The WAG Operations Manual is currently being updated and will be posted and distributed as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience with this. 

Virtual Camp
An official invite and registration details will follow in the coming days, but this is an advance notice that the WTC will be holding a virtual camp on Sunday November 21 during the judging period for Virtual Judges' Cup. This half day event will be held through Zoom. Topics will include 'Return to Competition' with a sport psychologist, Safesport athlete education & resources, nutrition and past Olympians! 

2021 Worlds Artistic Gymnastics Championships
Please join me in congratulating Andrée Montreuil and Gord Bennett who are currently in Japan on judging assignments!
