We are so close to hitting our $25,000 goal!
 
100% of all ticket sales go directly to Valencia.  The money we raise pays for our reading programs, it puts computers in our classrooms, it supports our garden, art, and science programs, and much, much more.  Even if you only sell 1 ticket, that $5 makes a big difference.

• If you have more than one child who attends the same school, you may respond to the survey multiple times - one time per child.

Attention Valencia Volunteers

All Volunteers Must Be TB tested and Fingerprinted 

Valencia will be able to welcome parent volunteers on campus starting the week of October 18th.  That being said, our site will proceed with caution as we launch this process. Teachers will open up their rooms for volunteers as they feel their class is ready to handle the presence of visitors. In addition, we are limiting volunteers to TWO parents in each classroom at any given time. We do still need to limit the total number of bodies in our indoor spaces whenever possible.

*Given that there are specific requirements for all volunteers, including COVID-19 Vaccination, we will maintain our current morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up protocols.

Steps involved in the parent volunteer sign-up process:

1. Request a signed pre-authorized volunteer form from our Valencia office. SPECIAL NOTE:  If you have signed up to be a field trip driver and made your way through the approval process, you are already cleared to volunteer in the classroom.

2. The PVUSD Human Resources Department is asking that parents CALL to make an appointment to meet with a Human Resources Parent Volunteer Specialist. Please do not show up to the HR Department without an appointment. When you arrive at Human Resources at the District Office (294 Green Valley Road, Watsonville), you must provide TB Test results. You may receive a voucher from Valencia's office or have it emailed for a free TB Test/TB Risk Assessment with Mar Monte / WorkWell Medical Group. You will need to provide this voucher in order to have a TB test done free of charge.

3. You must also provide a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Card. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated. There are no exceptions at this time.

4.  If you are a brand-new volunteer and need to be fingerprinted, please go to the following link to make a fingerprinting appointment with Human Resources: PVUSD Volunteer Fingerprinting Application Link.  Fingerprinting is a legal requirement, not a local decision, to provide for the safety of our students. 

5. If you were fingerprinted in the past with PVUSD, you do not need to be fingerprinted again, however you will still need to complete a new volunteer form with an updated TB test and proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.

Our office team is prepared to work with you and guide you through the sign-up process.  We look forward to partnering with you and having you in our classrooms, as teachers determine their learning communities are ready for visitors. Teachers will communicate with parents regarding their individual parent volunteer plan.
