So - here in Auckland, we continue to be in Level 3 lockdown, for at least another week. It's now been 2 months that we have not been able to go out, shop and work normally.
However at least at level 3 I can safely create and send your parcels with contactless pickup and delivery! 😃
Since we went to level 3 on September 22nd, I have had several orders, which has kept me busy (along with being stuck with a grumpy teenager 🤦♀️.)
Thank you so much for your support! 🥰🙏🏼
I've just finished my blog post for this month - a shorter one after last month's epic post! It's a look behind the scenes at how "The Christmas Tree" Collection came to be, and how I make each item.
When we went to level 3, we were able to get the painters back in. We have now had the walls and trims painted, new flooring installed, and (as of this morning) the skirting (painted by myself) installed by the builder! It's coming a long nicely! If only I was able to go to the shops to check on the adjustable desk - big decision to make from a couple of photos online! So it will be quite some time before the room is furnished and I can move my office there. Also waiting on a jewellery desk to be made. I'll have to make use of some interim furniture.

Christmas is now just 10.5 weeks away! (10 weeks on Saturday, or Friday is you're counting down to Christmas Eve!)
I hope you will consider supporting local businesses this year and gifting handmade items. ❤️
There is a significant ongoing delay in international shipping (with the lockdowns and pandemic affected areas), and our NZ domestic post is already in overdrive with the lockdown restrictions, and online shopping being a current requirement.
So I urge you to get organised, and get onto your Christmas shopping early. Especially for businesses (like mine) where most items are handmade to order, then a delay in delivery. However, there will always be places you can get last minute items from - and I will be available until the week before Christmas for last minute pickups.
I hope you're keeping well.
As always, I love to hear from you. If you ever have any comments, questions or suggestions of what to write about on the blog - please let me know! Just hit reply to this email. 😊
