Pre-booked tickets are now essential. Tickets are limited, so book through our website now,  to avoid disappointment.

Weekend Escapes
Our re-opening marks the start of our new weekend-only operating, as works begin on multiple projects to revitalise this iconic destination. We are planning a transformation across our precinct, that will see infrastructure renewed and upgraded. Keep an eye out on our website, Facebook and Instagram  for updates.

Arrive and Leave Jenolan Via Edith Road
When planning your trip to Jenolan, please arrive 45 minutes before your first activity. If you drive from Katoomba, at Hartley, you can turn off the Great Western Highway onto Jenolan Caves Road, but then there is a detour. Remember to turn onto Duckmaloi Road, then Titania Road and finally Edith Road - a very pretty drive, which adds about 40 minutes.  Get full details here. Edith Road is sealed, steep, winding and narrow, with several tight hairpin bends, unsuitable for ANY vehicle longer than a minivan.

Please note that if you are staying here on Friday night, you can access our valley no earlier than 4:30pm.

Little Known Fact

Australian Wildlife Week is celebrated across Australia during the first week of October, to encourage a positive relationship between humanity and nature. At Jenolan, we look after Australia’s most spectacular cave system - the oldest in the world - and more.

It's a little known fact that Jenolan was declared a wildlife sanctuary in October 1920 – just over a century ago. It was one of Australia's first wildlife sanctuaries. Experience the delicate cave environment and, above ground, the McKeown’s Valley Track, where you might spot lyrebirds and rare brush-tailed rock wallabies.

If you return home with a greater appreciation of nature, then we have done our job to 'connect and protect'.
