Greetings MSH Friends and Supporters,

We hope you are enjoying the start of the Fall season! This month we bring you some
electrifying news and information about upcoming sustainability events.

Mark Your Calendars! Monadnock Sustainability Roundtable

Join us on the evening of Thursday, November 18th for the virtual Monadnock Sustainability Roundtable to discover sustainability projects and opportunities in the Monadnock region! This event will showcase some regional, community-led projects tackling today’s biggest problems on a local level: from clean energy and climate change solutions, to agriculture, to community education about the climate crisis.

In addition to hearing stories of local climate action, you will have a chance to connect with other Monadnock sustainability advocates and discuss the climate initiatives taking place in your own community.
Stay tuned for more information about our Roundtable presenters.

A big thank you to Antioch University New England’s Alliance for Youth Climate Leadership for partnering with us on this event.

Good News for New Hampshire’s EV Charging Network

Last month New Hampshire’s electric transportation advocates received some long-awaited news; the NH Department of Environmental Services released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for public Direct Current Fast Charger projects. The RFP concerns the portion of the state’s Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust funds dedicated to the development of New Hampshire’s public electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In other words, eligible site hosts can apply for funds to install “Fast Chargers” for public use in their community. The Hub is working with the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene to apply for funding. If selected for funding, the Co-op will be the site host of an EV Fast Charger! Stay tuned for more updates.
