Finding & Hiring Nonprofit Employees
This week in Nonprofit News, the spotlight is on nonprofit employment. Nationwide, employers are struggling to find employees as our workforce continues to shift. Both the Vermont Department of Labor and the Vermont Futures Project state that Vermont’s workforce is down by an estimated 27,000 to 30,000 compared to pre-pandemic counts.
However, Independent Sector anticipates that national Pre-COVID-19 employment levels for the nonprofit sector will return around July 2022. Next Spring, we will launch the 2022 Nonprofit Wages & Benefits Survey (Vermont Edition) to see how Vermont nonprofit employment has shifted since 2020. In the meantime, how has the workforce shortage impacted your organization? We're partnering with the National Council of Nonprofits on this short survey about your organization's experience.
P.S. Are you hiring? Nonprofit Wages & Benefits Report Sponsor UST is offering a FREE webinar - Hiring & Onboarding Strategies in an Increasingly Digital World - on 10/28 & 11/30.
