U.P. Master Gardener Association presentations at Peter White Public Library
Please join us at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 23rd.
The U.P. Master Gardener Association is thrilled to begin this season's program with a presentation by Bill Van Kosky. His topic will be the "Versatile Hardy Geranium". Bill's presentation was postponed last year due to the COVID pandemic and subsequent closure of the library's meeting room facilities. The Shiras Room, with a normal theater seating, is now available again. Currently, the library asks that everyone wear a mask in public areas but masks are optional in the meeting rooms. Due to COVID concerns, there will be no food provided. The presentation will be interesting, fun and educational.

About the Presentation:
Not to be confused with the bright red hothouse so-called "geraniums" often sold in springtime hanging baskets, a great many perennial geraniums are hardy in the Upper Peninsula. Plant hybridizers continue to create beautiful hybrid varieties that offer stunning visual impact in the landscape. This illustrated presentation will discuss hardy geranium cultivars that vary in size, flower color, foliage color and shade tolerance, including several beautiful new hybrids.
