Farm News

The Farm Stand will be open 3-6 p.m. again this week.   The online store is up and running this week, so you can choose to order there and pickup at the farm.  If it's not working, try again later.  We will also allow walk-up customers that would like to pay onsite. We prefer credit card but will have the cash register available for cash or checks.

The last two weekends of U-Pick Pumpkins went really well and I'm excited to say they are all out of the field.  We knew it was going to be cold last night and were able to get the remaining pumpkins into the greenhouse.  We are sold out of large Jacks but still have some nice pie pumpkins that you can get at the Friday sale.  The covered fall planting of kale is doing great!  The double cover of plastic plus fabric seems to do the trick on keeping this hearty green happy.  We should have plenty of kale through the month!  The lettuce has slowed down and we won't have any this week.  There are 3 more plantings that we hope to have in the remaining weeks but this hard frost and colder daytime temperatures really slow plant growth.

We are now onto the final onion crop- REDS.  In addition to these, we've added many wholesale items online for you to stock up with going into the winter.  You can also email me any orders, but everything is listed online with prices.  10# minimum on these orders per crop but you are welcome to order as much as you need.  The Latah Squash are not listed but we do have many of those this year and would be happy to box up for you.

We are on track to finish up by the end of October.  The last Friday Farm Stand likely will be the 29th.  Make sure to get those bulk veggies put away for the winter!
